Messy Cats

If you love cats, you’ll love this mug. Mischievous and slightly scruffy illustrations of cats of all shapes and sizes, including Tabbies and Tortoiseshells, proudly parade around this mug, drawn in pen and ink with a watercolour wash. Freehand notations proclaim the type of cat. On one side of the interior curls a cute black and white kitty, while opposite two cats cuddle together. Muddy feline paws have left a trail along the handle.

The ample curves of this Nevis shape mug, combined with the amusing feline portraits, make this cup a keeper!

If you’re not a cat-lover, or if you love dogs as well, you may also want the companion Messy Dogs mug from Dunoon. Both designs are by Kate Mawdesley.

Kate Mawdsley
Kate Mawdsley was born in Lancashire and now lives in a converted barn in East Anglia. Even in the nursery, Kate Mawdsley preferred to play with paper, pencils and paint rather than toys and she maintained her interest in art throughout her education. After completing her degree in fashion and textiles, Kate spent the first ten years of her career in the fashion industry. In the early 1990s, she began gradually to move into more illustrative work. Since then, her repertoire and collection have expanded each year and her work can now be seen on products ranging from Dunoon mugs to cross-stitch fabrics.

Big chunky and very comfortable to drink from, Nevis shape fine bone china mugs have a generous capacity of 480ml. All designs are both dishwasher and microwave safe, with the exception of those featuring gold embellishment.
